Download Pali Wallet and connect it to Syscoin's zkSYS testnet (zkTanenbaum), Syscoin's first Edgechain.
Install the extension/app, then create a new wallet or import an existing seed phrase. Write your recovery phrase down and never share it — Pali's own team will never ask for it.
#750, "Add zkTanenbaum token discovery defaults"):
the current version of Pali Wallet already ships with zkSYS (zkTanenbaum) pre-configured. Open Pali → the network
selector at the top → look for zkSYS Testnet (or "zkTanenbaum") in the list and select it. No manual setup needed
if you're on a recent version.
If you're on an older version and don't see it: update the extension (it usually updates automatically; if not, reinstall from the Chrome Web Store / Firefox Add-ons link above), or use Syscoin's official zkSYS Portal at portal.tanenbaum.io → Connect Wallet → choose Pali, which adds the network for you.
For manual entry as a last resort (Network Settings → Custom RPC), the confirmed details are:
| Network Name | zkSYS Testnet (zkTanenbaum) |
|---|---|
| RPC URL | https://rpc-zk.tanenbaum.io |
| Chain ID | 57057 (hex: 0xdee1) |
| Currency Symbol | TSYS |
| Block Explorer | explorer-zk.tanenbaum.io |
zkSYS uses TSYS (testnet SYS) — it has no real monetary value. Get free testnet tokens directly from the official faucet:
faucet-zk.tanenbaum.io. You can also bridge funds from Syscoin Tanenbaum (the base L1 testnet) using the zkSYS Portal's Bridge tab.
zkSYS is Syscoin's first Edgechain — a modular, ZK-secured execution layer built on Syscoin's infrastructure. It's currently in public testnet, running on the "zkTanenbaum" network. It's separate from Rollux (Syscoin's existing optimistic rollup) — both are part of Syscoin's broader scaling roadmap, but use different underlying technology.
For developers, or anyone who wants to run the latest unreleased code / verify it themselves. Confirmed directly from the official repo's own README:

For everyday use, the Chrome Web Store / Firefox Add-ons install in Step 1 is recommended.
